Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 23 August 2026

This policy explains how free trials, subscription cancellations, and refunds work on PsychDesk.

Free trial

PsychDesk offers a 30-day free trial for up to 10 clients, with no card required to start. At the end of the trial, access pauses until the practitioner selects a paid plan to continue. Data entered during the trial is retained for a limited period after the trial ends so that a practitioner who upgrades can resume without losing records; if the practitioner does not convert to a paid plan within that period, the trial data is deleted.

Cancelling a subscription

Practitioners can cancel a paid subscription at any time through account settings or by contacting support@psychdesk.in. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and access continues until then. No further charges occur after cancellation is processed.

Refunds

  • Monthly plans: fees already charged for the current billing period are non-refundable. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.
  • Annual plans: a pro-rated refund of unused full months may be issued if you cancel within 30 days of the annual charge, less any discount already availed.
  • Duplicate or incorrect charges are refunded in full once verified.
  • Add-ons and one-time setup or migration fees are non-refundable once delivered.

Beyond what is stated above, refunds are issued only where legally required. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 to 10 business days; bank or payment gateway timelines may add a few days.

Downgrades and plan changes

When moving from a higher tier plan (such as Standard or Clinic+) to a lower tier (such as Basic), the change takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle. No partial credit is issued for the unused portion of the current billing period. If the new plan's feature or client limits are lower than your current usage, you will be prompted to reduce usage to fit the new plan's limits; client records are never deleted automatically by a downgrade, but features unavailable on the lower tier will become read-only or hidden until usage is reduced.

Billing disputes and chargebacks

If you believe you were charged in error, please contact support@psychdesk.in or call 9667006268 before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider, so the issue can be resolved directly. We aim to respond to billing disputes within 3 business days.

Data after cancellation

After a subscription is cancelled or an account is closed, client and practitioner data is retained for a limited recovery window (30 days) so the practitioner can export their records. During this window, the practitioner can export client records and invoices from their account settings. After the retention period ends, the data is permanently deleted. This matters more on a platform holding therapy records than on a typical SaaS product, and practitioners are responsible for any professional record-keeping obligations that may outlast their PsychDesk subscription.
